Fabrizio Rossi Prodi
Professor Fabrizio Rossi Prodi is the founder of Florence based architects Rossprodi Associati. He has designed several key civic architectural projects including Via Cenni in Milan – the tallest and largest Cross Laminated Timber residential neighborhood in Europe, three hospitals, many educational facilities.
He has been teaching architectural and urban design at University of Florence since 2001 and is a well known visiting Professor on the international University circuit. His research activity includes historical urban structure – its future, public space, residential neighbourhoods and social housing, hospital design.
Rossi Prodi’s design process is influenced by humanism, nature and landscape and his approach focuses on sustainability as well as smart building and smart cities. He is currently designing experimental, ecological residential districts looking at interactive modellization with natural cooling and virtual reality.
Rossiprodi Associati has been awarded more than 20 first prizes in architectural competitions.
