Katiuska Caicedo has over 15 years’ experience working in evaluating, planning, design and management over 25 healthcare infrastructure projects within private and public sectors in Venezuela and England, including consultancy projects for the Inter-American Development Bank in Bolivia.
She has been a Board Member of the Venezuelan Association of Healthcare Architecture and Engineering AVAIMS, Guest Editor and Editorial Coordinator at Revista Entre Rayas, a Venezuelan architectural magazine, for the Volume No.116 dedicated exclusively to Health Buildings. Since 2016, she is working as an independent consultant and partner as Project Director for healthcare construction companies in Venezuela and Spain.
Based on her expertise and knowledge, Katiuska provides practical and trusted advice, great understanding of the multicultural and multidisciplinary team working, with an ability to deepen needs and expectations of clients and users, with emphasis in the latest technology and hospital design trends, with criteria of efficiency, integrity and organization.
Katiuska studied architecture in Venezuela (Central University of Venezuela UCV) and France (École d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine EAPVS / international student) and years later she completed a M.Sc. in Planning Buildings for Health in England (London South Bank University LSBU). She is currently studying a Master Degree in Healthcare Architecture (Universidad Catholica de Murcia, Spain) in order to update her knowledge about new architectural and technological trends and its impact on healthcare buildings.
Her other passions apart from architecture, is to travel, collect art and enjoy quality time with family.
