Mette Dan-Weibel is Director Healthcare, Architect, at LINK arkitektur.
Over the past 25 years, Mette Dan-Weibel has taken part in all types of hospital building projects in the healthcare
sector in both somatic and psychiatric medicine. Mette Dan-Weibel is responsible for a large number of healthcare
projects, both on a national level for the Danish Regions and on international levels in Sweden, Norway, Ireland etc.
Mette Dan-Weibel specializes in client consultancy, project management, hospital planning and planning/organization
of user-involvement processes.
Mette Dan-Weibel is attentive, process-oriented, analytical, a conceptualizer, oriented towards collaboration and
action, and stands out as a dynamic and reliable partner for the client.
Projects include the expansion and refurbishment of Denmark’s largest hospital – The New Rigshospital, New Aalborg
University Hospital (2012-2021; ca. 170,000 m²; ca. 764 million USD), the new Danish Centre for Proton Therapy
(2015-2018; 10,000 m²; ca. 126 million USD), Helsingborg Hospital in Sweden (2013-2018; 40,000 m²; ca. 173 million
USD), and New Drammen Hospital in Norway (2016-2025; 120,000 m²; ca. 983 million USD).
At the New Rigshospital, located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, Mette Dan-Weibel is Lead Partner and Lead
Consultant. The project concerns an expansion of Rigshospitalet with master plan and new construction of 81,500 m².
New North Wing (new Centre of Head and Orthopedics), New administration and patient-hotel building and a new
multi-story car park building. Construction cost: ca. 291 million USD. Status: Project start: 2012 / Expected
